Owing to its location at a high altitude, the temperature of this hill station is always pleasant and ranges from 10 to 25 degrees Celcius yearlong.

Vagamon can be visited during any time of the year, however, the best time for Vagamon tourism is during the dry seasons of summers and winters.

It is advisable to prevent traveling during monsoons as heavy rainfall makes traveling tough. The months from June to August experience heavy rainfall and the travelers get to witness rich flora and fauna.

By Flight
If you are low on time and want to cover as many places as possible, traveling by flight is the best option. The Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport to Vagamon. The airport is approximately 170 kilometers from the city so people need to take a bus or hire a cab to reach the city of Vagamon.
By Train
The nearest railway station to Vagamon is Kuttikanam which is 22 km away from the hill station. Kottayam is another neighboring station to Vagamon which is 64 km away. Madurai station is located 149 km away from Vagamon. Road connectivity from these stations to Vagamon is quite good.
By Bus
Road journeys are the most budget-friendly way to reach Vagamon Kerala. Though Vagamon is located at an altitude of 1,100 m above sea level, it is well-connected by road to the closest town, Erattupetta. The road connecting Erattupetta is a state highway and makes accessibility to the city easy.

From where should I book houseboat? Is online booking authentic?Which one?

You can look at online reviews and decide on which houseboat to book in Alleppey. We would advise to optimise for experience rather than the cost and opt for a private houseboat instead of a shared houseboat. You can book houseboats from any recognized tour operator in Kerala
